Aydın Kuşadası’nda 2013 yılında 3, 2015’te 2 işçi onarım için girdikleri kanalizasyonda zehirlenerek öldü. Yetkililere dava açılmadı. Ölen Hasan Fıstıkçı’nın emirlere aykırı rögara girdiği, arkadaşını da peşinden sürükleyip ölümüne yol açtığı yönünde rapor tutuldu.
